How far do you travel?

We mainly work in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Just give us a shout and we will let you know if we can travel to you.

What are your opening times?

We open Monday to Friday 8-5. Ask for a Saturday if needed, we will see what we can do.

Can you cut existing granite?

We can cut existing granite but it all depends on how it comes out and if it stays together as it is very brittle and sometimes may break,

Can I have a quote?

We are more than happy to do a quote for you. Feel free to give us a ring, send an email or fill in our form on the website and we will get back to you with a price as soon as we can.

Do you have any samples?

Yes, we have a big selection of samples in the office. Feel free to come down and have a look. No need to make an appointment.

What is your turn – around time?

Usually, 7 days from template to fit.

Do you replace existing worktops?

We can replace existing worktops but would ask that they are removed before we come to do a template.

Do you do anything other than tops?

Yes, we do several other bits depending on what you are interested in. Take a look at the extras section on our page.

How do I care for and clean my surfaces?

To look after your surfaces, clean them daily with hot, soapy water. Do not place hot objects directly onto the surface, always use a trivet to project your worktop. Do not cut or chop directly onto the surface, always use a chopping board. If spills occur wipe them up quickly and dry. Do not use highly acidic cleaners as these can damage the surface layer.

Fantastic service from the team here.

We had an issue with the company we had originally ordered our worktop from, who advised us at the 11th hour, that they were out of stock (this had been ordered 2 months prior!).

A friend put us in touch with Carly at the Ilkley branch and I visited that afternoon.

She managed to find a surface that was near identical to the one we had previously ordered.

We had an issue though, we were due to move in, in just two weeks time.

Not only did Carly and the team find us a suitable worktop, they managed to get it measured and fitted within 2 weeks.

Couldn't believe our luck!

Absolutely love the quality of the fit and the product. Furthermore, they were actually more competitive on pricing!

After struggling to find the right worktop I came across Select Solid Surfaces when visiting family in Ilkley and Addingham. Wow, what a selection! I found a couple that I really liked, ordered one of them and have just had them fitted. Darien, in the Ilkley branch, was amazing, patient and responsive to all my questions. The templating went really smoothly and the fitting of the worktops this last weekend went without a hitch. The team (Michael and Gareth) who fitted my countertop were friendly and efficient and despite travelling down to London (where I live), were on time. All in all a really great experience and a very quick turnaround from templating to fitting. Thanks for the great product and great service!

On the whole Select were absolutely excellent. The only issue was when they asked me to drop off the undermounted sink to them so they could be precise as to the opening. On the day of fitting, the sink was returned by the installers who commented that this type of sink is usually already installed and there was an issue with the base unit which they were reticent to deal with, so I had to reschedule the installation while I dealt with the sink and sink base issue. The point here is that I could not do anything prior to installing the worktop because they had the sink! So, if you are having an undermounted sink, make sure it is installed prior to the template survey - it will save a lot of hassle later! Despite this they did a great job.
